  • Looking over the kitchen island with the atrium in the background. These are quince boughs that I cut when they were starting to bud. It looks so Japanese!

  • We had just received our custom floorcloths from Gracewood Design. When I saw the Sun had created an artful pattern across the floor, I set up my camera and tripod, then Jupiter walked over instinctively and posed.

  • This is the art glass pendant shade that we bought at Lundberg Glass Studios in Davenport http://www.lundbergstudios.com/shades/shades.html. Is is 8 inches tall and will hang above the sink. I am holding it up next to the pulley pendants over our island. I am trying to compare the two styles, hoping they complement each other. Too matchy-matchy is not good.

  • This is serendipitous how the design on the shade reflects that in the Chez Panisse poster, or is this not a coincidence?

  • Pretty? The bumblebee is the backsplash around the sink. We had the floorcloths designed by Gracewood Design with the same bee motif. This is so much fun...

  • I like this so I took a picture at the Lundberg Glass Studio. The search for lighting over our farmhouse dinning table has been difficult, I think a oil rubbed bronze fixture with three of these shades would be lovely.
